So whats the new meta going to be like?
So with the big nerf today, obviously things are going to change. First it was sinsplit, then dervspike, with both of those (mostly) gone, or at least even'd out, whats the new meta going to be like?
Obviously its only shorty after the update, but that just means this will be mostly theorycrafting.
I personally have noticed alot of pressure builds, infact, 5/7 gvg's ive been in today have had either one or both of the teams running pressure (usually with wail of doom).

burning will be bloodspike with wail of doom...pwnd infuser!!
i saw apr and they were running condi pressure , spear swipe, war with virulence and 2 rangers
need moar gvg to see what is going to be new meta

apr looked a bit too ragtag to me, but it worked very well vs balanced...
and if i see any more bspikers thinking they are so pro when they arent even champ1 yet, im going to slit my wrists.
there is no official "new meta" as of yet, the update was only a few hours ago. give it time, and you'll see something soon, especially with the well timed AT's ^^
i have to say, i give a round of applause to izzy for kicking button smasher wiki builds in the can with this update.

I guess it's all about the map rotation in this monthly aT. Thanks the nerf, for not having to play vs. Derv spike in Burning Island anymore. Even SoG got his chance now
Imo conditions pressure, Hexes and Flag stand balanced will have to be played/tryed/tested/and countered to advance to the playoffs.
But definitly, i think the more creative gimmick will go through the winning.
We'll know for sure @ the Monthly aT.
Until then, i'm gonna put back my balance stance or a ward on my monkey, cause Magehunter is gonna hurt...
Request for next Skills Update => make WoD only for primary attributes...

@600 hp thats 300 heal w/ 0 healing prayers.
14 healing gets you 120%ish... thats... 60hp more?
14 healing infuse: 360
0 healing infuse: 300
Not that dramatic?

WoD has more of an effect on monks in 4v4 arenas than it will in GvG/HA imo. infusers can still heal, there will still be another monk to remove the hex... but in TA WoD will be used over and over...and over- due to the lack of a second heal
that is saying that they arent using rit support =)

Wail of doom is the hottest skill in the game right now, so I'd imagine a change to that next week or so. As for the meta, we might see some pressure/condis come back, but it's really too early to tell. After this weekend people will get a better idea of what works and what doesn't.

The concept of a short-duration active hex to drop attributes to 0 is awesome. It shuts down characters (flexibly, offensive or defensive), but allows them to still use skills that are effect-based. The only thing really problematic is that it really destroys monks in a spike timeframe, which is why I suggested having the skill end upon casting a spell that targets an ally (let it affect that one spell).

Probably hexes for the time being, they're still in overdrive from the OoB buff, Wail of Doom will only help it.
Nothing got abusively overbuffed this round (thank God!), so it's a bit hard to say.

The "meta" will just be balanced but hopefully more pressure instead of spike based now. On the 8v8 maps in the monthly, like burning and wizards, I think people will run highly aggressive builds like 2paragons or something.

Saw this last night with NRF (Not another reform) guild forming a new formidable pressure build, consisting of 4 rangers equipped with:
[skill]Read the Wind[/skill], [skill]Prepared Shot[/skill], [skill]Sundering Attack[/skill], [skill]Penetrating Attack[/skill]
Throw in some interrupt shot, and it's pretty unstoppable

with the buffs to necros, it's now possible to fling hexes around as well as put out some pretty serious shutdown, all in the same skillbar.
we'll have to wait a see, but i personally see hexes making a very strong comeback.
